Moving On Up
I moved up to dilator three today! I was only able to get it in a little, but that's a success! Once I complete dilator three and can get it in with ease, I think I will be able to start trying to have sex!Yeah! News Resolution: Have sex!
I must say THANK YOU for your blog! Reading about your experience has been sooo encouraging to me. I too am a virgin - married for almost two years, and overcoming vaginismus. My honeymoon did not go as "planned". My hubby couldnt penetrate me without extreme pain on my part. He was finally able to insert his middle finger, while I writhed in pain. The burning was unbearable! When we got back home, I started investigating my symptoms and learned about vaginismus. It took me a long while to accept that that was what I had, because I didnt want to label myself with a disease, for fear I wouldnt be able to overcome it. But I later accepted my condition.
I researched treatment options but they were too expensive, except for dilator self-therapy. I ordered the PureRomance.com set of 6 dilators. The biggest dilator SCARED me! I thought I would never be able to take that size.
I started my dilator self-therapy 4 months ago. I am now on the last SCARY size, and its getting less and less scary each day. My vagina doesnt burn much anymore when I insert the dilators. I am really *REALLY* looking forward to a new year filled with SEX with my hubby :) Using tampons has also been a nice, convenient alternative :)
